Dear Santa- A Writer's Christmas List

elf_santas_comingDear Santa,

I know that I was naughty as a child, and that on more than one occasion I yelled at you and told you that I hated you (yes that really happened)

but now that I’m an adult you don’t terrify me quite as much– and there are some things I really need.

1. One week of productive writing time (a vacation full of awesome writing)

laterdudesEven if it is only 2-4 hours a day, I could work wonders with my novel, and this amount of uninterrupted time to work on it.

2. A year’s supply of coffee

elfcoffeeIt’s my go-juice and I run out of it at the most inopportune times.

3. A fun, new idea.

boots_christmasI have two very different books (that I am hoping to develop into series) that I am working on— but could always use a new idea— something new and shiny that I can distract myself with when I get all down in the dumps over my current novel.

4. A new laptop

Let’s face it, my desktop computer at home is on it’s last legs, and I have been laptop-less for over a year now. I’d be much more productive if I didn’t have to work where my boyfriend plays (and yells at) his video games.

That’s about it. I mean I could use some other things, but I’ve already asked for a lot.

Happy Holidays!
