Top Ten Goals/Resolutions for 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to us by the lovely ladies over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is Top Ten Goals/Resolutions for 2015. I’ve decided to do a mixture of goals for this particular theme. There will be some reading/blogging/writing goals as well as other, personal ones.

So here we go…

1. Finish revisions for The Girl in the Glass Coffin and have it ready to query agents with.

As you know, this has been my project since NaNo 2013 and I’ve shared it with 2 CP’s so far. I’m having a blast working on it, making it better, and simply writing. I would love to begin querying in 2015.

2. Read 50 books

merlinbooks50 was my goal for 2014, and I didn’t make it. I only read 36 books, which isn’t bad at all! But 50 books would be stellar. Let’s see if I can do it! Check out which books I read here

3. Blog more consistently

patrick-harris-this-is-so-going-into-my-blog-gif-funny-humor1Lately blogging hasn’t been as consistent. I’d like to write at least 2-3 posts per week in 2015.

4. Participate in a blogging challenge

I tried to do April A-Z in 2014, and didn’t make it ( mostly because of a lack of planning on my part). But I would love to try again, and/or participate in another blogging challenge and try my hardest to finish the challenge!

5. Build an author website/ social media platform.

Whether it is this particular site, or another one, I’d like to build a site for my author information. I’d also like to make this blog at some point in 2015.

6. Walk at least 500 miles (that I consciously keep track of).

Last spring/summer/fall I used Map My Walk to keep track of my walking (when I thought about it) and it helped with my fitness and such. Since I’d like to be healthier and lose weight in 2015, I want to keep track of as many walks and work outs as possible!

7. Learn Yoga

I always have a goal to learn something new in each New Year. I figure something to do with both relaxation (because I need it) and fitness can’t hurt!

8. Become a better cook

I can cook a select few dishes very well, but my cooking skills are limited. I’d like to learn how to cook more (healthy) dishes in the next year. Bonus points if I can get the boyfriend to eat them too.

9. Buy a car

I’m not going to explain my issues with driving, but I’d like to become a more confident driver in 2015 and buy a car too!

10. Get a job more related to my field.

I like the job I have now, but I would like to at least look for something more related to my field or my interests.

Bring it on 2015!!!

I hope that you all have a safe and happy new year! What are your goals or resolutions?

I love that goal and thank you for that little tid bit! I will remember that and try to stick to it!!! Honestly, where I live the country block is 3 miles around, so 20 miles a week is totally doable once it gets nicer out. On the treadmill is a different story.

I love that you’ve combined bookish and personal goals for the new year. I really like that one of your goals is to be a better cook. It’s so useful and healthy; a goal I should probably emulate.

Finding a job more related to your interests is a great goal for 2015! (One that I’d love to achieve too, whether it incorporate books, writing, or both!) I also love that you included walking, because it’s one of my favorite forms of exercise, especially because it gives me time to think (and sometimes develop writing ideas) when I’m walking outside. I just need a good app to help me keep track of my progress!
