What I'm Reading & Writing Wednesday

Hello friends! It’s time to catch up on what I’m reading and writing this week. I’m going to throw in what I’m watching too because that’s fun :). What I’m Reading & Writing Wednesday is my spin on WWW Wednesday created by Miz B and hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

What I’m Reading

I kind of gave up on reading for a little while there, but I did go to the bookstore the other day and I picked up two new books

Alice in Zombieland by Gina Showalter and The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd! I haven’t started reading either of these yet, but I am really hoping that they help to get me out of this dreaded reading slump that I’ve been feeling lately.

Have you read either of these books? Did you enjoy them?

What I’m Writing

I finished Chapter 23 of The Girl in the Glass Coffin on Friday, after being stuck on it for nearly 2 weeks. It was one of the chapters that I hadn’t revised for draft 2 of TGGC, so I was working from my rough draft. Needless to say it was incredibly rough. But it is done for the time being, so yay!

This week I am trying to plug away at Chapter 24. Like 23, I am working from my rough draft. Hopefully this one goes better for me. Right now I’m just kind of feeling uninspired with it. Hopefully my writing group tonight will change that around!

What I’m Watching

FistBump_BaymaxButlerI watched Big Hero 6 the other day with Matt. I loved it!!! It really was a fun and heartwarming story that had me laughing out loud quite a few times. I’m not going to lie to you, I want a Baymax. 🙂

Good luck with your rough draft! I’m working through one right now, too and it is so hard! Knowing you’re gett through it helps me plow through! Enjoy the books, they look fun. Happy reading!

I’m glad to hear that a friend is in the same place as I am revision-wise. Up to this point in my novel I was working from a 2nd draft or writing all new material. This is taking so long, but that’s ok 🙂

Yes. They sit on my coffee table staring at me, begging me to read them. I might need to take a refresher break from writing and read one this weekend.

And Big Hero 6 was amazing. Might have to watch that again this weekend too 🙂

Sounds like you’re having a good time both reading, writing and watching lately! =]
I watched Big Hero 6 about a month ago; the cinema was full of kids and me and my dad were the biggest laughters there xD It was hilarious.
