What I'm Reading & Writing Wednesday

whatimreadingandwritingwednesdayYay! Happy Wednesday. It’s hump day, we’re half-way through the week and I can update you on my reading and writing progress.

What I’m Reading…

I just finished…Rebel Belle by Rachel HawkinsRebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins. This book was so much fun and had me laughing out loud quite a few times. I love books that make me laugh– which hasn’t happened in a while. The protagonist in this book is a goodie-two-shoes until she is tasked with a mission to protect someone she doesn’t necessarily like much. It’s fun, entertaining, and a very quick read!

I’m currently reading…

51RYeVqlj9L._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_Still reading A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab because I somehow misplaced it and can’t find it. I hope to finish it this week too.

What I’m Reading Next…

unademagiaporfavor-new-releases-july-2013-A-Darkness-Strange-and-Lovely-Something-Strange-and-Deadly-Susan-Dennard-Author-coverA Darkness Strange and Lovely by Susan Dennard, the second book in the Something Strange and Deadly trilogy. In fact, I get to pick it up from the bookstore today!

What I’m Writing…

I’m still typing up Chapter 3— deciphering hand written notes on the hard copy of this chapter was difficult and with some things going on in my life right now I don’t have the time and concentration to really work on this for any length of time.

However, I’m starting edits on the hard copy of Chapter 4! So I am hoping by the end of this week that I will have 2 chapters done to make up for last week, when I didn’t finish any of them.

Also, I’ve been working on my blog series So You Want to Write a Novel. This has been pretty time consuming, but it’s fun and the conversations I’ve had with other writers as a result have been great! It also helps me prepare for Camp NaNoWriMo– where I will still be working on TGGC.

And that’s all for this week! What are you reading & writing?

You should check out The Tao of Martha by Jen Lancaster for a fantastic laugh out loud read. Have you read anything of hers? I highly recommend almost all of her biographical stuff if you like things that will make you cry laughing.
