Week 2 of Camp NaNoWriMo is about to come to a close and I couldn’t be happier.
Week 2 has always been the hardest for me. Especially during NaNoWriMo in November. The first week is usually so inspiring and full of words and new ideas. Week 2 is where I feel blah about my writing (in this case, revising) and tend to fall behind. While I’m not behind (not yet anyway). I didn’t get nearly as much done in this last week as I would have liked to. I’m still ahead of the game (according to my goal with over 6,500 words written of my 10k goal. I’m hoping that by Friday (day 17) I will be back on track and back in the groove.
This month I will reach my goal of 10k, unlike back in April where the second half of the month I fought with a severe lack of inspiration. I’m currently half way through this revision of Chapter 7 and hope to be done by tomorrow.
During week 3 of Camp NaNoWriMo, my goal is to finish 2 chapters of TGGC and start getting my notes and ideas together for revisions on a third. It might be a little ambitious, especially with my busy schedule, but I need to pick up the pace here with this draft.
