What I'm Reading & Writing Wednesday

whatimreadingandwritingwednesday

Hello! Welcome to What I’m Reading and Writing Wednesday, my weekly feature that catches you all up on what’s going on in my world. Two other similar features are WWW Wednesday, hosted by Taking on a World of Words and This Week in Books hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. Drop by their blogs and check them out :).

So let’s get to it!!!

What I’m Reading…

Not nearly as much as I did last week, that’s for sure.

I just finished….

a-court-of-thorns-and-roses

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. What can I say in this short blurb other than I loved this book! It’s probably going to be the first book that I post an actual review for this year. So. Good. It makes me want to read more from this author.

I’m currently reading…

Miss-Peregrines

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. I was thinking about waiting until this fall to read this, but I’m really glad that I didn’t. Miss Peregrine is a re-read for me and I haven’t re-read a book in what feels like forever. So I’m making Miss Peregrine the first book in my re-reading challenge for the rest of 2015! It’s been so long since I read it thatΒ  I have forgotten a lot about this book. So while it feels somewhat familiar, there are still some surprises thrown in there.

What I’m Reading Next…

1732937

Hollow City by Ransom Riggs of course, the sequel to Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children!

What I’m Writing…

Earlier in the week I was feeling pretty blah about Week 2 of Camp NaNoWriMo. However, I have hopefully turned that around! As of this morning, I sent Chapter 7 to my critique partners and am at about 8,600 words. Less than 2k words to hit my goal for the month.

This week I hope to finish the next two chapters in The Girl in the Glass Coffin, hit and surpass my goal of 10k for Camp NaNoWriMo, and set a new goal of 15k for myself to work towards in the 2nd half of the month.

What are you reading and/or writing this week?

I hope you enjoy Riggs. I liked the first book a lot more than the second. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
