What I'm Reading and Writing Wednesday

Yay! It’s Wednesday again. I had all sorts of posts planned for the first couple of days this week, but I’ve been so busy! Anyway, it’s time to catch you all up on what’s going on in my world. What I’m Reading and Writing Wednesday is my spin on WWW Wednesday, hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Another awesome, similar feature is This Week in Books hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found.

What I’m Reading:

Currently Reading:

Miss-PeregrinesYep, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, still. I am liking this re-read, but it’s taking longer than I hoped it would. This is probably because I’ve been so busy and focused on other things lately. I’m hoping to finish up this one this week.

What I’m Reading Next:

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and then Hollow City by Ransom Riggs. While I love Riggs’ writing style and am looking forward to reading the sequel to Miss Peregrine, I might pick up Throne of Glass before reading it. Why? Because sometimes I need a change in style of book/writing/etc to break up reading two or more books in a series. That and I’ve been dying to read Throne of Glass!

What I’m Writing…

Well, my reading schedule has been messed up for a couple of reasons. One of those reasons being that I’ve been incredibly focused on writing. I meant to post a Camp NaNoWriMo update on Monday, but that time was spent working on my chapters!

As a result, I won Camp NaNoWriMo yesterday!!!

Yes, my goal was 15k (and that’s not a whole lot of words), but I surpassed my goal of 10k last week and raised it. Since the rest of the month is going to be super busy, I decided to not raise my goal again. However, I’m hoping to reach at least 20k by the 31st.

I’ve never won Camp NaNoWriMo before! Usually I’m too distracted. But with having a finished draft of TGGC that was decent enough to polish up and revise, I was able to be more productive!

Since July 1st, I’ve revised (basically re-written) 7 Chapters of TGGC!

Last week, I revised 3 chapters. This week I have done one so far, and hope to send the second to my CPs tonight. I hope to be through Chapter 12 by Sunday at the latest!

What are you reading and writing this week?

    Congrats on winning NaNo!
Unfortunately, I stopped writing about 2 weeks ago due to having to sort RL stuff out and so am only 50% there but I am happy with the 4500 words I did get done!

Congrats! That’s a great accomplishments. Makes sense you haven’t gotten to Riggs much. Hope you enjoy those as well. Happy reading!
