What I'm Reading & Writing Wednesday

whatimreadingandwritingwednesdayHello and welcome to What I’m Reading and Writing Wednesday, my weekly feature that fills all of you in on what is going on in my reading and writing life this week. This feature is my own spin on WWW Wednesday, hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. A second great feature is My Week in Books, which is also posted on Wednesdays by Lipsyy Lost and Found.

What I’m Reading…

I just finished…

throne-of-glass-coverI’ve been meaning to read Throne of Glass for a while now, and with the next book coming out soon, I figured that I should get on it. This book has been sitting on my shelves for a few months now and with the issues I’ve been having with my current read, I needed to set that aside and step into Caleana Sardothien’s world.

What I’m Currently Reading…

Miss-PeregrinesI’m about 3/4 of the way through Miss Peregrine right now and while I like the book, it’s been a struggle to get this far. It bothers me because I know I liked it last time I read it, and I don’t dislike it now.  It’s just not what I’m in the mood for at this time. I might keep it set aside and read one more book and then pick it back up again.

Do any of you ever have to do that with a book you’re struggling to get through, especially if you want to finish reading it?

What I’m Reading Next…

Landlinegrey-1-e1381519474537-300x441Landline by Rainbow Rowell. I picked this up last week as a bargain book at B&N! It was one of the first things I saw when I walked through the door and I knew that I had to have it!!! Rainbow Rowell is one of my favorite authors and I have been wanting to read this book since before it came out!

What I’m Writing…

Honestly? Not much. I finished Chapters 9, 10, and 11 last week and 11 was just all sorts of bad. Since then I’ve been struggling to get my groove back. I read all of Throne of Glass in like 2 days, have been trying to do some other things, so I’m hoping to get back to it today.

There are some awesome changes coming for Amanda’s Nose in a Book this week so stay tuned for some fun announcements!

What are you reading and writing this week?

I usually can keep myself from getting distracted by books. But lately I’ve needed a little bit of that distraction.

Glad to hear that you enjoy Rowell’s books. Landline is the only one I haven’t read yet and I’m so excited to get reading!

I’m not good at re-reading books. They seem to drag the second time around so I feel your pain. Audio helps me. I have ‘Landline’ on my shelf as well but I probably won’t get to it for a while. There’s a lot on top of it! Happy reading.

I’m glad that I’m not the only one who has this problem with re-reading. Honestly, this is one of the only books that has dragged on and on when I re-read it. Hopefully I can finish it soon so I can move on to Hollow City.

Thanks for stopping by my blog Tammy. I usually love re-reading books, I just don’t have time to do it very often. Since I’ve made a re-reading challenge for myself for the rest of 2015 (only 4 books, so it’s not too many) I’m hoping that I enjoy revisiting the other books a little bit more.
