What I’m Reading & Writing Wednesday

Yay it’s Wednesday— it’s hump day and I get to talk to all of you about what I’m reading and writing this week! This is a weekly feature on Amanda’s Nose in a Book that is my own personal spin on WWW Wednesday hosted by Taking on a World of Words and My Week in Books hosted by Lipsyy Lost & Found.

What I’m Reading

I just finished…

LibraryOfSouls_final_300dpiLibrary of Souls by Ransom Riggs, the third book in the Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children trilogy. It was good, but honestly not as epic as I was expecting. Library of Souls has plenty of action, romance, and conflict but there were parts that I just wasn’t feeling.

Currently reading…

lair-of-dreams-by-libba-brayLair of Dreams by Libba Bray. Again, she’s not disappointing! I loved The Diviners and like how this novel revolves around the stories of more people than just Evie. They all get more time to share their stories in this novel. I’m about 3/4 of the way through this one.

Up Next…

Not sure yet.

What I’m Writing

This NaNoWriMo I’m writing a novel called Dreamwalker (which will most definitely change) about a girl who can see the life of herself in a parallel world while she is asleep. When those worlds converge, Zahra (the MC) has to figure out how to beat an evil queen and save both worlds from collapse.

Right now I’m so happy with my progress this month. As of yesterday, I’d written 32,247 words! I haven’t written yet today, but hope to reach 35k tonight.
