Plans for August

CORNER TAB

Wow it’s already August, and I have no clue where July went. It means that Summer is sadly half -over.

But I have some really exciting plans for the month of August and the rest of the year!

1. Amanda’s Nose in a Book will soon become a self-hosted wordpress site.

I’m still researching and working out the details of this, as I really am not sure how it works (guess it’s a good thing that my boyfriend knows way more about this stuff than I do). Quite a few blogs that I follow on here have made the switch.

2. I’m starting a BookTube channel on YouTube.

This is something I’ve wanted to do for a really long time. When I first started this blog, I did make some videos but the quality was terrible and then my laptop died. It’s about time that I give it a try. I will still be posting here 2-3 times a week, but I will also be making 1 or 2 videos a week over on my channel.

A-Z Challenge Day 2 (B)- Booktube!!!

B

One of the biggest things that got me into book blogging was Booktube. Booktube is a community of readers on YouTube who vlog about books and bookish topics. I would love to eventually become a part of the booktube community, but I need to get a camera (that isn’t on my phone) and learn how to edit videos.

Here are three of my favorite Booktubers!

Katytastic

Kat’s videos are very entertaning and she talks about many books that I am reading/have read/ or that are on my TBR list! She also has many wonderful videos about writing, the writing process, and NaNoWriMo. I wouldn’t have made it through NaNo 2013 had I not found her videos about how to survive it!

Little Book Owl

Catriona of Little Book Owl is one of my favorite booktubers because of the personality she puts into her videos. She does a lot of fun tags and talks about many relevant bookish topics!

The Book Tuber

I especially love The Book Tuber’s videos that talk about how writer’s write and how to read a (fill in the blank with an author’s name) book. Tiernan is funny and his fresh topics keep his videos fun!
